David Lewis

Born 1939 Graduated from Central School of Art and Design, London 1960. Since 1960 David Lewis has designed products in a wide field from professional marine and dental to domestic household. Although David Lewis has worked for several clients, his name is primarily connected with Bang & Olufsen's products on which he has left his mark for more than 35 years. In the first years, 1965-68, he worked for and together with Jacob Jensen, where his first work for bang & Olufsen was the Beolab 5000 series with the "sliderule" motive. From 1968-80 he worked for and together with Henning Moldenhawer, where his first work was the Beovision 600, which, like the "sliderule" motive, became an icon for B&O. Since the beginning of the eighties David Lewis has been responsible for the design of the majority of Bang & Olufsen's products and has designed such award-winning products as the Beovision MX series in 1985 and the Beosystem 2500 in 1991.
