Help - Adding/Editing Items

Items are anything used as a prop or set dressing in a film that can be purchased. Here at Filmitem, we tend to concentrate on designer objects because they are timeless and beautiful.

To add an item, go to the menu at the top right of the screen, and point at the Add option, then select Item from the drop down menu.

When you are adding an item, you will have to provide an image of the item (please see image help for more information about adding pictures), a name and a description of the item, and hopefully the year in which the item was first created - this will enable us to include the item within our timeline display. You will also need to select a category under which to file the object.

After providing this basic information, click the save button. The information will then be saved into the database. You will then be taken directly to rhe edit screen where you can attach more detailed information, such as the designer, the manufacturer, and the films that the object has appeared in.

Please note that in order to attach a designer or a manufacturer, they must already have been added to the database. But please search to ensure that the designer, manufacturer etc has not already been added in.
